Sometimes music is more than just music. It can be a cultural phenomenon, a voice for those who otherwise go unheard, a movement that brings people together around shared experiences and conflicts. Few contemporary acts embody this as clearly as the Belfast trio Kneecap. The group, consisting of Móglaí Bap, Mo Chara, and DJ Próvaí, has moved from being a fiery local concern to becoming an internationally talked about act. Their expression moves effortlessly between biting humor and social realist darkness, between the euphoria of the club and the friction of everyday life, often delivered in both English and Irish. Within this tension, the debut album “Fine Art” emerged, a work that sparked both praise and debate but above all established Kneecap as one of the most radical and uncompromising bands of our time.

Now the follow up, “FENIAN”, awaits, an album that, according to the band themselves, offers more darkness, more confrontation, more energy, and even greater solidarity. Sirens and alarms pulse through the tracks as Kneecap continues to move seamlessly between fiction and reality, between humor and deadly seriousness, always driven by an underlying anger at the state of the world as high octane fuel. The recently released single “Liar’s Tale” serves as a clear preview of the album’s direction, dense, unrelenting, and at the same time irresistibly gripping, with the same explosive blend of intelligence, humor, and fury that has made the trio one of the most debated and influential acts of today. With “FENIAN”, Kneecap takes another step in its evolution and shows that the chapter on relevant protest music is far from finished. On November 9, their notoriously wild and explosive live show reaches B-K in Stockholm.
