Few artists have done more to shape the sound of modern soul than Masego. With his distinctive blend of jazz, trap, electronica, and the sensual R&B style known as Quiet Storm, the American-Jamaican singer, saxophonist, and producer quickly created a musical universe entirely his own. In the summer of 2026, Masego will release a new project, and on October 3 he will perform at B–K in Stockholm. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 12 at 10:00 AM.

Masego’s so-called TrapHouseJazz manages to sound both deeply contemporary and organically alive at the same time driven as much by programmed beats as by saxophones, live instrumentation, and improvisation. This was already evident on his 2018 debut album Lady Lady, where romantic love stories and musical curiosity were woven together into one of the decade’s most beloved soul records. And with the now-modern classic Tadow, recorded alongside FKJ, Masego secured his place in contemporary music history.

The Grammy-nominated self-titled album Masego (2023) demonstrated that much of what made his debut so captivating remained intact, while also revealing how the artist behind the music had evolved. The record was more introspective and vulnerable, without sacrificing either its playfulness or musical inventiveness. While a new album has yet to be officially announced, recent singles such as Unhinged, I Win, MASTERPIECE, and Spin The Block point toward an exciting new horizon.

At its best, Masego’s music sounds like both the future and the past at once – a balancing act few artists master as well.
